Title: Mock Crackling Bread

1cYellow cornmeal
1cAll purpose flour
1tbSugar
1tbPlus 1 ts baking powder
1/2tsSalt
1 1/2cMilk
1/4cShortening, melted
1 Egg, beaten
10 Slice bacon, cooked/crumbled
  Creole Celery Sauce

Combine first six ingredients, add milk, shortening, and egg mixing well. Stir in bacon. Pour batter into a well greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into squares, and serve with Creole Celery Sauce.
